IN THIS LESSON

A process for getting things done.

Most professionals follow a process. With the process, they cover a launch of their activities and declare the end of their activity. In this course, you will have a great view on the process from the beginning and the end by seeing that the project is a set of activities coming together for a better end.
Learn about the project life cycle through the p3.express wheel.

  • The main goal is whether or not the project is worth starting or not.

  • Certain projects have taken the bad habit of never closing the loop. With the closing cycle, the leaders of the organization can evaluate many projects, evaluate the progress and decide the closed projects should no longer be funded.

Another benefit is helping the teams working on these open projects to get the chance to feel a sense of accomplishment. The organization also knows that these people from a closed project can be deployed somewhere else.

  • During the daily project management cycle, the project manager and his team are monitoring the negative and positive risks and accepting deliverables. The latter allows the project to move forward and helps the team to avoid piling up unfinished deliverables. The deliverables are pieces of the puzzle helping the project to be completed.

  • This cycle focuses on evaluation of the benefits brought or gained by that project. The Sponsor is the main stakeholder involved during this cycle. The project manager is more involved in the project output.

  • P3.express is easy to understand, easy to teach, easy to implement.
